A fantastic and original walnut and cross-banded marquetry pair of French bedside nightstand tables, dating from the mid to late 19th century.
Shaped gallery top with butterfly marquetry veneers; one cupboard with a serpentine freeze drawer over cupboard space. The second cupboard with three frieze drawers. All drawers benefiting from their original silk lining. Brass handles on the drawer fronts. Shaped tapered legs with brass mountings.
