18th Century Percussion Belt Pistol, possibly French. Complete with Iron Belt Hook on side. Fine Engraving to octagonal section of barrel, originally inset with silver, some silver inset remains. a date of 1792 is engraved to octagonal barrel, original silver inset, now highlighted in gold. The lock plate shows engraved lettering, possibly Latin. 10″ long. Ornate mechanism free of any damage, chips or cracks. All working as it should, good strong spring. Original ramrod lost.
