A Pair of Louis XV Style Carved Giltwood Fauteuils, upholstered in faded pink fabric, with a stiff leaf beaded frame, padded arm supports and acanthus carved hand grips, on carved and fluted tapering legs, We have repaired the underside of the chair on the right since this photo was taken. This is the finest pair of French Louis XV chairs we have or have had for quite some time. From the exquisite carvings to the most expert of 19th-century guilding, with matching quality upholstery. A Pair of chair of fine exhibition quality. Whoever buys these will spend many hours admiring the opulence these chairs exude. Of course we have removed the under stretched webbings, repaired and these are now ready to grace any fine home. As a fine traditional chairmaker myself for over 40 years i could live with these. A rare statement indeed.
