Vintage Royal Doulton English Porcelain Figurine ~ “Charmian” ~ HN 1569

A rare and delightful Early 20th Century First Year of Issue Vintage Royal Doulton English Porcelain Figurine, “Charmian” ~ HN 1569, decorated in an attractive cream and lavender colourway, designed by leading Doulton artist Leslie Harradine, and issued from 1933 – 1940, this figurine date coded 6 indicating the first year of production, ie. 1933. The underside fully marked in underglaze green with the printed Royal Doulton backstamp of the period together with the date code 6, in green script, Charmian, HN 1569, Potted by Doulton & Co, Painter’s Monogram, EAW in red, unidentified but recorded as working at Doulton Circa 1931. Impressed Date Code 1 4 33 3, { for 1st April 1933 }, plus indistinct impressed Model Number.
