Magnificent Rare French Mahogany Regulator Circa 1850-70
Interesting is the temperature compensated pendulum invented by British clock maker John Ellicott 1752, known is that this invention is used in French clocks in the 1800s, written in a French Physics book from 1878.
The dial signed with the name: Bousquet A Beziers ( a large clock makers family) the movement made and signed by: Pierre Lemasson Paris 
The moment has been serviced and strikes every 30 minutes on a gong.
In fully working order, still with the original enamel dial with the original gilded bevel surround , blued hands and original gilded pendulum.
The very clean mahogany case is made by a top Ebenist/furniture maker.
Overall in very good old original used condition, there are no missing pieces.
92cm high, 33cm wide, 17.5cm deep.
