A rare and wonderful marquetry inlaid mahogany linen press cupboard, English, circa 1810.
Superb bow front shape and smothered in decorative marquetry inlaid florals, the cornice has an open pediment top with stepped base above a decorative freize and 2 panelled bow fronted doors, opening to reveal a hanging rail inside.
The chest base has 2 dummy drawers to allow extra hanging height above and 2 long drawers below, with decorative brass ring handles.
On bracket feet.
A beautiful piece, so much better in the flesh than the photos have shown.
