Majolica Plate By Schutz Blansko SAI3616

Wonderful Austrian majolica plate by Schutz Blansko in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The centre of the plate has a a raised relief depicting a natural scene, including plants, flowers and herons. This central section is in a brownish colour surround by a beautiful blue border with raised relief depicting herons, scrolling design and faces with long beards and horns resembling a mythological or fantastical figure. This plate with its contrasting colours symmetrical and ornate design will enhance any wall.
The stamp on the back dates this plate cica1897 -1906
Schutz Blansko was a ceramic company that operated from 1849 -1909
