This Georgian inlaid mahogany gentleman’s wardrobe, dating from circa 1780, showcases elegant rosewood and boxwood inlay detailing. The wardrobe is presented in good condition and comes in three separate pieces for ease of transport and assembly.
The upper section features a traditional dentil cornice, sitting above two beautifully inlaid panel doors, which are complemented by a brass closing strip. The two dummy drawer fronts in this section provide additional hanging space inside, which is fitted with a hanging rail.
The wardrobe is supported by a chest base of three long drawers, each featuring inlaid and cockbeaded fronts and brass swan neck handles. The drawers have solid oak linings, reflecting the quality of construction. The piece rests on bracket feet, adding to its refined, classic appeal.
