Neat 18th Century Walnut and Elmwood writing bureau in fabulous condition with only marks in line with age and use. The walnut front fall opens to beautifully fitted interior having oak lined drawers with satin wood inlay fronts and dovetail joint. The small cupboard in the centre locks and has it key. There are secret compartments which can be found above and below the writing surface which increases the charm of this bureau. The four drawers to the base have decorative brass handles and escutcheons provide a lot of storage space. The wonderful rich colouring and great patina enhance this stylish bureau and its size means it doesn’t take up too much space and can offer a great home office.
