A good Early 19th Century Antique English Georgian Blue and White Transfer Indented Pottery Plate, printed in “The Reaper” pattern from the Rural Scenery series produced by Bathwell & Goodfellow of Upper House Works, Burslem, Staffordshire, { 1818 – 1823 } and at Tunstall from 1820 – 1822 . The bucolic scene depicts a Reaper with his sickle, conversing with a woman and child beneath a tree with cottages in the background. The reverse with series title RURAL SCENERY within a pastoral cartouche printed in underglaze blue above the impressed numeral 2 ~ Height ~ 24.70 cm. / 9.75 inches ~ Width ~ 24.70 cm / 9.75 inches ~ Depth ~ 2.00 cm / 0.75 inches ~ Year ~ Circa 1820
