This charming oak housekeeper’s cupboard is constructed from solid oak, the cupboard showcases a rich, warm patina developed over centuries, with beautiful grain patterns characteristic of well-aged English oak.
The upper section features two panelled doors with fielded and arched panels, the central panel is fixed, flanked by two working doors and key. When opened, they reveal a large, open storage space with a hanging rail and wooden pegs for hanging items.
The lower section is composed of two rows of three drawer fronts, with four functioning drawers and 2 dummy drawers. All fitted with brass swan-neck handles and decorative escutcheons.
The cupboard stands on ogee feet. It boasts a cornice and moulded base, which balance the structure visually and lend a sense of grandeur. The piece is structurally sound and retains a good colour throughout.
