A good French Bronze by Auguste Poitevin one of France’s eminent Artists! He was born 1818 and died 1873. This Bronze is c 1845 and is of the Great Bard –William Shakespeare. He stands 34cm in height. Originally this might have been mounted on a wood base or marble, but this does stand well without. The tip of his right finger is missing but does not detract from being a good item. The questions is ‘TO BUY or NOT TO BUY?’
