A superb Late 19th Century Antique English Victorian Blue and White Transfer Porcelain “Solitaire” Teapot, printed in the “Genevese” pattern, depicting alpine chalets in a romantic setting. The underside with printed title within a cartouche with C-scrolls which includes the words Opaque China, this together with the impressed Maker’s Mark, viz. MINTONS above the letters WS, and an impressed V plus what appears to be an impressed 4. A good example of English Victorian ceramics at their finest !
