Antique French Carved and Parcel Gilt Long Stool c1860

Elegant and fine French baroque style ornately carved gilt wood stool, serpentine in form. It features cabriole legs on scroll feet decorated with scrolls and acanthus leaves, six grotesque masks, one on each corner and at the top of the center legs and intricately pierced carved floral and foliate motifs, the stool has been fully upholstered and covered with Italian royal blue velvet with brass studded detail
