Antique French Second Empire Rosewood & Amboyna King Double Bed, c 1860

Striking and well proportioned French second empire kingsize double bed, dating from the mid 19th century. Solid rosewood with amboyna inlay. Carved foliate head and footboard. Brass castors. In excellent order throughout, no creaks or wobbles. This is a typical wall bed, with one side benefiting from further inlay and embellishments to the other, wall facing aspect.
