Antique Industrial Pine Victorian Rope Braiding Stand, circa 1850
A fantastic piece of Victorian industrial design, completely original and highly functional to this day as a kitchen island, for example. Freestanding, two-tier pine framed unit with four arrangements of cast brackets, used for the braiding of rope. Probably deriving from Somerset in the mid 19th century.Â
Very solid and heavy as you can imagine.Â
