A large bronze sculpture of a stallion produced in France in the middle 19th century a lost wax casting and hand finished and years of great patination leaving this bronze with a great colour, Piere-Jules Mêne was a self-taught artist, and dedicated his entire career to making bronze statues, which were met with great success among both French and international clients.
