A 19th century Gothic Revival reclining armchair designed by Charles Bevan c1870. A solid walnut frame, X shaped supports with inlaid stylised design to the upper arm, pegged joints and stands on two front brass casters. Newly and fully upholstered professionally, with the filling being feathers rather than foam, and completed in the traditional way of pockets to enable the feather filling to retrain its shape, and covered in a new brown leather. The sliding brass reclining mechanism works as it should.
In very good original condition, no loose joints.
