A Charles II oak high back chair, the shape cresting rail with the carving on the facings, supported by two turned uprights with elegant finials, the back with two shaped spars, solid insert panel seat, the back legs are slightly offset the front legs ring turned with large stretcher on the side legs braced by a simple rectangular stretcher, with a plaque stating, ‘brought to Taymouth Castle from the Marquis of Breadalbane’s apartments at Holyrood Palace may 16th 1860’.
