A wonderful scarce and decorative item, a wooden church water scoop showing the witches mark of a daisy wheel or hexafoil. A typical Apotropaic mark which dates back century’s to try and avert Evil from entering a property, many are found in churches, entrances to barns, window frames and chimney breasts. Possibly English or European and circa mid to late 1600s.
