Circa 1815. A French Empire rosewood, marble, mirror back and ormolu mounted console table, the top with highly polished black marble, frieze concealing a secret drawer with ormolu mounts, including a mythical face. The fronts are supported by a pair of turned Tuscan style columns with ormolu capitals and bases, the mirror back is supported on flat uprights, resting on a rosewood veneered platform base, on an enclosed plinth.
