Georgian bird cage mahogany snap top occasional table

A Georgian bird cage mahogany snap top table complete with original fittings. Turned pillar with tripod legs. One of the legs has an 18th-century professional repair, which in this case only adds to its charm. This is how a leg should be repaired. Its very rare that I buy tables with old repairs to the legs but this is an exception to the rule and is a very fine period table, nice top, good weight, nicely splayed legs with pad feet.

This table remains as a fine example of mid-Georgian period furniture.
