Heavy Silver JW Benson London Pocket Watch 1913 Makers To The Queen

A really top quality solid silver pocket watch by J.W. Benson Of Ludgate, London.
This silver pocket watch is in full working order, keeping good time over a 12 hour period, it’s supplied with a no. 8 key.
The white enamel dial is signed by J.W. Benson, it has a subsidiary seconds dial,
the dial has not damage, no hairline cracks. The mineral crystal is in excellent condition, with just some signs of pocket wear, need a loupe to see.
The silver case is again in top condition, very sharp details, with a blank cartouche.
Inside the back cover which pops open when you press the crown button, is the hallmarks for London 1913, the Lion passant, the leopard, and the makers initials
J.W.B.L., the same details are on the dust cover.
The movement is in excellent condition, it is signed J.W. Benson, The Ludgate, Patent No. 4658. It also states Best London Make To H.M. The Queen, Ludgate Hill, London.
Serial no. E2737.
The only sign of usage is the light scratches around the winding and hand setting apertures.
The pocket watch weights a heavy 141.2 grams, and measures 55mm in diameter.

A really superb timepiece, this is one for the collector, or to be used for special occasions I.E. weddings, celebrations, when wearing a waistcoat, plus would look great with a quality silver pocket watch chain.
