The most absolutely magnificent example of its type, this large Persian Khamsheh is so pretty and intricate.
Dating back to the last quarter of the nineteenth century this fantastic carpet is made of luscious soft wool on wool foundation.
It has such stunning fine detail, note the photographs, from little gigures to floral sprays to animals this carpet just brings the features together in such an elegant way. The features have lovely bold colouring using all natural vegetable dyes, yet they come together so well as a whole piece.
This is a very large carpet, truly the feature of any room. It is in superb condition with excellent pile.
Being room sized and so skilfully made this carpet is suitable for heavy domestic use.
With all our handmade rugs, we recommend using a non-slip underlay, whether it will be placed on hard flooring or on wall to wall carpet, to stop the rug moving about. This can be purchased from us for £25 per linear meter (width 180cm)
