Circa 1880. Magnificent large inlaid satinwood Victorian desk with burgundy leather top. The rectangular top with a gilt tooled burgundy writing surface and figured satinwood exterior. The front with three frieze drawers with delicate urn and foliate marquetry and original gilded oval brass handles. The pedestals with inlaid drawers flanked by pilasters with ribbon and bell flower chain inlay. Supported on a moulded base with shaped bracket feet. In excellent condition.
