E B Lait was a Victorian/Edwardian artist who painted rural scenes of the English countryside. This is a fairly early example of his work when his style was stronger and more detailed than his later works.
The image measures 6″ x 12″ without the mount.
There is a very small amount of foxing which is difficult to see.
