A delightful Pair of Mid 19th Century Antique English Victorian Staffordshire Pottery Poodles, each with separate front legs and coats of shredded clay, seated upon cobalt blue gilt lined oval bases. Although not catalogued by Harding in “Victorian Staffordshire Figures 1835 – 1875”, this pair bear close comparison with Figs. 2682 / 2683, a Pair of seated Dalmatians, illustrated in Book II.
