This is a rare volume printed in London, 1846 covering the period 1824-1825.

It has a detailed contents section and index which list the various papers/documents that were discussed in the British Parliament on a wide range of issues including a lot of discussion, debate, facts and figures about the Slave Trade.

There are a total of 1,011 pages with numerous sections on the Slave Trade, sorted by country of nation that Treaties or agreements were made with.

We have included just a small sample in the images above as there are so many.

There is also a rare facsimile of an agreement with Britain and Muscat (Oman).

These types of publications were only printed in a small number and often ended up in private libraries. This one has the bookplate (ownership plate) of Egerton Leigh who was a Conservative MP after serving in the 2nd Dragoon Guards, as a Justice of the Peace and High Sheriff.
He was also related to the Leigh Baronets of South Carolina.

This book is bound in wonderful ‘chocolate’ colour full leather with raised bands on the spine.
At the top, middle and bottom section of the spine there are embossed British Royal Coat of Arms that have faded as well the title and years covered in this book.

The condition is as shown in the images – please keep in mind that this book is around 180 years old!
The top and bottom of the spine are a little bit frayed as are the corners of the covers. However, the contents are in remarkable condition.
