This jug is a museum-worthy item of very early Alloa pottery. This is possibly one of the earliest jugs produced in the Alloa Pottery Works, late 18th century. Depicting a River Forth Salmon Handle, With shells and a central anchor relief motif. A truly serious piece of rare Scottish Pottery.

Condition. 2 faint hairlines. otherwise perfect.
