Walter Battis’s mixed medium (1906-1982). South African, Stunning and highly unusual abstract work on paper – executed in a variety of media including pen, ink and gouache paint. A well renowned abstract artist whos works make several thousand at auction. This particular creation I find very interesting and advanced in its nature I believe this to be one of his more sort of paintings. It reminds me of something, just not quite sure what, a good sign for a modern painting of this type. I say this type, but it is actually quite unique, maybe a touch cartoon nature about it. Micky Mouse! Top Cat, Freddy Flinstone! anyway, Whoever buys this I’m certain will be ever drawn to it as I have been since I first pondered it.
