A good, clean, First Edition copy of “The Later Italian Pictures in the Collection of Her Majesty The Queen”, by Michael Levey, Slade Professor of Fine Art at Cambridge, 1963 – 64, and Assistant Keeper at the National Gallery, published by The Phaidon Press of London in 1964. This is the second section to be published of the complete catalogue of all The Queen’s pictures. It deals with the Italian pictures of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, including important works by such artists as Annibale Carracci, Guercino, Guido Reni, Marco and Sebastiano Ricci, and Canaletto. Superb academic text, complemented by 205 plates, including 6 in full colour. Hard covers, large format, 282 pages, original dust jacket.
