This is a large very impressive Original Oil on Canvas Genre Painting depicting a group of aristocrats playing chess and drinking tea within the interior of a grand stately residence.
This marvellous piece is one of a matching pair that we are selling individually.
The works were painted by the listed mid-century genre artist H.D. Espinoza whose speciality was such scenes of high-society gatherings.
The attention to detail is absolutely beautiful, and the painting is mounted within the equally impressive original vintage gilt scrolled and moulded frame.
