Victorian Burmese Padouk Tilt Top Table SAI3483

Fabulous Burmese Padouk tilt-top occasional table from the fantastic Victorian era in excellent condition. The top has a smooth central panel with intricate carved border of animals and foliage. It’s pierced and carved frieze is beautifully shape and held in place with brass brackets. Supported by a carved column of intertwining serpents with tri form base carved as mythical creatures. The carving on the whole table is very well executed and is of a very high quality. Like all antiques there are imperfections however this is a solid table with great colouring and patina. A gorgeous table not only practical for use but if you don’t have much space, it tilts and can be stored nicely in the corner of the room and with that striking top it will look absolutely stunning. This ornately decorative table is perfect for a lamp or vase or that well deserved glass of wine.
